Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join DeepIntent as a Senior Software Engineer in Test and become the quality champion who safeguards the life-saving advertising technology that connects patients with the treatments they need. You will architect, build, and scale automated testing frameworks that validate every line of code powering our healthcare advertising platform, ensuring that campaigns reach the right clinicians and patients at the right moment.
- • Own the end-to-end test strategy for a platform that processes billions of clinical and behavioral data points daily, designing performance, security, and functional test suites that run continuously across micro-services, data pipelines, and real-time bidding engines.
- • Lead the transition from legacy QA practices to a modern, shift-left culture where quality is engineered from the first commit—pairing with developers, product managers, and data scientists to embed testability into APIs, ETL jobs, and machine-learning models that predict patient adherence.
- • Build resilient, cloud-native test harnesses in Python, Java, or Go that spin up ephemeral Kubernetes clusters simulating real-world clinical data loads, HIPAA-compliant traffic, and peak Super-Bowl-level advertising traffic to surface regressions before they ever reach production.
- • Drive adoption of contract testing, chaos engineering, and synthetic monitoring across 30+ engineering teams, creating living documentation and dashboards that give executives confidence that patient privacy and campaign performance are never compromised.
- • Instrument observability hooks—OpenTelemetry traces, Prometheus metrics, and ELK logs—into every test run so that when a test fails at 2 a.m., you and your on-call teammates can pinpoint root cause in minutes, not hours, protecting revenue and patient trust.
- • Mentor junior SDETs and software engineers through code reviews, lunch-and-learns, and pair-programming sessions, fostering a culture where “quality is everyone’s job” and where failing tests are celebrated as learning opportunities rather than blame events.
- • Collaborate with compliance, security, and legal teams to automate HIPAA, SOC-2, and GDPR validation checks, turning audits from multi-week fire-drills into one-click evidence packages generated nightly from your continuous compliance pipelines.
- • Influence product roadmaps by translating flaky manual test cases into quantifiable risk metrics—showing how a 0.5% drop in audience-match accuracy can translate into thousands of patients missing critical therapy, and championing fixes that measurably improve health outcomes.
- • Contribute to open-source testing tools and speak at meetups and conferences, sharing how DeepIntent marries healthcare data with ad-tech at scale, while building your personal brand as a thought leader in ethical, privacy-first test automation.
- • Enjoy the freedom of full-time remote work with quarterly on-site “DeepIntent Days” where the entire engineering org gathers to hack, learn, and celebrate wins—whether that’s shipping a new predictive audience model or simply mastering the perfect espresso shot.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks for high-volume, data-intensive web services or distributed systems in Python, Java, or Go.
- • Deep expertise with containerized test environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD to enable fully automated, repeatable test pipelines.
- • Proven ability to test and validate complex data pipelines (Spark, Airflow, Kafka) and RESTful/GraphQL APIs under HIPAA or other stringent privacy regulations.
- • Strong grasp of performance and security testing methodologies, including load testing with tools like Locust or k6 and vulnerability scanning with OWASP ZAP or Snyk.
- • Nice-to-have: prior experience in AdTech, healthcare, or life-sciences domains and familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB) protocols or clinical data standards such as HL7/FHIR.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours, annual home-office stipend, and the option to work from anywhere in the US or Canada.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of premiums covered for employees and 80% for dependents, plus a monthly wellness stipend for gym memberships or mental-health apps.
- • 20 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a company-wide winter shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s so you can truly unplug and recharge.
- • Equity in a fast-growing, profitable company that has tripled revenue for three consecutive years and is transforming how life-saving treatments reach patients.
