📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer, Inference role focused on accelerating Pika's AI-driven products through cutting-edge inference acceleration, GPU parallelism, and model deployment for video generation and large language models.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include leading inference acceleration techniques (attention optimization, quantization), maximizing GPU parallelism (TP, SP, PP), developing high-performance CUDA/NCCL kernels, advancing AI deployment of videogen and LLMs, improving training efficiency (bonus), and driving technical excellence via code reviews and mentorship.
• Pika Labs is a tight-knit, energetic team in Palo Alto building seamless, intuitive video creation tools using AI, valuing efficiency, curiosity, and impact; operates onsite 3–5 days/week.
• The role offers opportunity to power next-generation AI systems, gain expertise in distributed inference and GPU optimization, contribute to industry-leading user experiences at scale, and grow technically in a fast-paced startup environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years engineering experience with strong track record in inference acceleration and model deployment at scale
• Proven expertise in inference optimization including quantization, attention acceleration, and deep learning compiler stacks
• Deep knowledge of GPU programming (CUDA, NCCL) and experience with SP, TP, PP, and other forms of parallelism for distributed inference
• Familiarity with video generation (videogen) models and large language models (LLMs)
• Strong cross-discipline communication skills to drive shared goals across research and engineering
• Self-driven, solutions-oriented mindset capable of managing ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment
