- • Design and implement secure workload isolation and sandboxing systems for user-generated and AI-generated code execution in a high-scale enterprise platform.
- • Build and enhance Linux-based security primitives including namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, permissions, and access controls to enforce strict process isolation.
- • Develop and optimize container runtimes and hypervisor-based isolation technologies such as gVisor, Kata Containers, Firecracker, containerd, CRI-O, and KVM-based platforms.
- • Profile and tune large-scale distributed systems to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in compute, memory, and I/O operations.
- • Improve networking performance and traffic management using Linux kernel networking primitives: netfilter, nftables, eBPF, tc, and network namespaces.
- • Design and evolve internal service communication protocols and infrastructure components to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across distributed environments.
- • Evaluate, integrate, and contribute to open-source systems-level technologies including cloud-native runtime environments and virtualization frameworks.
- • Drive end-to-end technical projects from architecture design and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and production rollout.
- • Debug and resolve complex system-level issues across the stack, from kernel modules to application services and cloud infrastructure.
- • Collaborate across engineering teams to build common, sustainable solutions for isolation, security, and performance challenges in a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- • Contribute to the development of secure, high-performance infrastructure that supports real-time orchestration of data, applications, and AI workflows for Fortune 500 enterprises.
- • Maintain deep expertise in systems programming using C, Go, or Rust to build low-latency, memory-safe, and secure components.
- • Work with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy and manage isolation infrastructure at scale.
- • Apply advanced understanding of L2, L3, and L4 networking protocols and their real-world implementations versus theoretical specifications.
- • Leverage Kubernetes concepts to design and operate containerized isolation environments in production.
- • Optimize data pipelines and infrastructure components for efficient data structuring, querying, and analysis in distributed systems.
- • Demonstrate strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills when resolving complex system failures or performance degradation.
- • Maintain meticulous attention to detail when implementing security controls and ensuring compliance with enterprise-grade isolation standards.
- • Own the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure components, from initial design to monitoring and iterative improvement in production.
- • Engage with open-source communities and contribute back to projects aligned with Workato’s isolation and sandboxing architecture.
- • Embrace a culture of ownership, innovation, and trust, actively shaping the technical direction of the platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of industry experience
- • Systems-level programming experience in C, Go, or Rust
- • Expertise in L2, L3, and/or L4 networking protocols
- • Good understanding of Linux networking and security
- • Experience building on top of Linux kernel networking primitives (netfilter, nftables, eBPF, tc, network namespaces)
- • Experience with large-scale distributed data pipelines
