📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer, Localization Platform (Backend focused) – Build and scale the core systems that power GetYourGuide’s global marketplace by enabling seamless, high-quality localization across languages and markets.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure to support scalable localization workflows.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional mission team with engineers, product, and data specialists to continuously improve code quality, system reliability, and developer experience through experimentation and iterative delivery.
• Contribute to a strategic platform that transforms localization from a per-team challenge into a centralized, repeatable capability, empowering product teams to launch in any market with confidence and speed.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience with high proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience designing and deploying web applications and services, including distributed systems and asynchronous messaging
• Experience operating at scale with CI/CD pipelines and a cloud DevOps/infrastructure mindset
• Experience with stakeholder management, technical leadership, and cross-team collaboration
• Ability to turn ideas into fast, reliable, and maintainable code with a customer-centric, data-driven approach
• Hands-on experience leveraging and experimenting with AI
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
