- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the JavaScript SDK team at Sentry, you will help redefine the future of JavaScript development by building cutting-edge SDKs for Node.js, Bun, Deno, Cloudflare Workers, and other modern server runtimes, directly impacting millions of developers worldwide.
- • You will have end-to-end ownership of features—from design and implementation to testing and documentation—while leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and focusing on solving complex problems in developer tooling.
- • You will collaborate with open-source communities including TC39, the Node.js core team, and OpenTelemetry SIG, contributing to standards and runtime interoperability while representing Sentry in influential technical forums.
- • You will work in a hybrid model at Sentry’s Toronto hub with in-office anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, engaging directly with users via GitHub and customer support to resolve critical bugs and gather real-world feedback.
- • You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where shipping high-quality, delightful code is celebrated, and you’ll contribute to a globally recognized open-source project used by companies like Disney, Microsoft, and Atlassian.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or similar role
- • Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript
- • Hands-on experience with Node.js and meaningful exposure to one or more modern server runtimes such as Bun, Deno, or Cloudflare Workers
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- • Based in the Toronto, Canada area or willing to relocate to Toronto
