- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Team at Compa Technologies, you will own and lead backend and infrastructure projects that power the company’s real-time compensation intelligence platform, enabling enterprise customers like NVIDIA, Stripe, and OpenAI to make data-driven compensation decisions.
- • Day to day, you will design, build, and maintain backend services and AWS infrastructure, develop and scale application backends using Django and Postgres, improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, and ensure reliability, performance, and observability of systems.
- • You will join a collaborative, curious, and driven team at Compa, a venture-backed AI startup headquartered in Irvine, California, with growing engineering sites in Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco, focused on delivering compensation intelligence to leading enterprises.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering, gain experience making architectural decisions in a fast-paced startup environment, and contribute to scaling the team and shared resources as the company grows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with an emphasis on backend systems
- • Strong hands-on experience building and operating production systems on AWS
- • Deep, hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Postgres in production
- • Solid DevOps/SRE fundamentals (CI/CD, observability, incident response)
- • Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, and database fundamentals
