📋 Description

• Build complex Ruby on Rails applications to support Workato’s enterprise-grade platform for automation and AI orchestration.
• Develop server-side infrastructure that powers the Workato user interface, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and maintains high code quality standards.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems, including architecture, performance optimizations, and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to design and implement elegant solutions to complex integration and automation challenges.
• Investigate emerging technologies and alternative approaches, presenting findings for architectural review to drive continuous innovation.
• Maintain and enhance API interfaces that connect applications, data sources, and processes across enterprise environments.
• Ensure system reliability through robust testing practices and proactive monitoring of production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to elevate team standards and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Support the operationalization of AI-driven workflows by building scalable backend services that integrate with enterprise systems.
• Work within a flexible, trust-oriented culture that emphasizes ownership, innovation, and balanced productivity.
• Engage in cross-functional teamwork to align technical solutions with business goals and customer needs.
• Contribute to the evolution of Workato’s cloud-native architecture, which serves 50% of the Fortune 500 with enterprise-grade security and governance.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of strong experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications
• Vast knowledge of Ruby and object-oriented programming and design
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Experience with Redis/Memcache-based caching and RDBMS engines (PostgreSQL)
• Contributions to open source projects (preferred)
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
