- • Build complex Ruby on Rails applications to support Workato’s enterprise-grade platform for automation and AI orchestration.
- • Develop server-side infrastructure that powers Workato’s user interface, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance at enterprise scale.
- • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices in Ruby and Rails development.
- • Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems, including architecture, performance bottlenecks, and code quality.
- • Collaborate with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to design and implement elegant solutions to complex integration and automation challenges.
- • Investigate emerging technologies and alternatives, presenting findings for architectural review to drive continuous innovation.
- • Work within a cloud-native, microservices-based environment that connects applications, data sources, and processes in real time.
- • Ensure all code and systems meet enterprise-grade security standards and compliance requirements.
- • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team retrospectives to foster a culture of high-quality engineering and collective ownership.
- • Support the operationalization of AI-driven workflows by building robust backend systems that integrate with external services and internal platforms.
- • Maintain and enhance Redis/Memcache-based caching layers and PostgreSQL RDBMS configurations to optimize data access and system responsiveness.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Workato’s platform as a leader in Enterprise MCP and iPaaS, serving 50% of the Fortune 500.
- • Operate in a flexible, trust-oriented culture that emphasizes ownership, productivity, and work-life balance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of strong experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications
- • Vast knowledge of Ruby programming language
- • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
- • Experience with Redis/Memcache based caching and RDBMS engines (Postgres)
- • Contributions to open source projects is a plus
