• • As a foundational member of Zip's burgeoning data science team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data-driven strategy and execution. • • You will be instrumental in transforming complex business challenges into actionable data insights and robust machine learning models. This involves a deep dive into our rich datasets, identifying key trends, and developing predictive capabilities that enhance user experience, optimize business operations, and fuel sustainable growth.
• • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), establish robust data pipelines, and implement sophisticated analytical frameworks. Your work will directly influence product development, strategic decision-making, and the overall trajectory of the company.
• • Develop and deploy machine learning models for a variety of applications, potentially including but not limited to, recommendation systems, fraud detection, spend anomaly detection, and predictive forecasting. This will involve the entire model lifecycle, from ideation and data preparation to training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• • Design and implement A/B tests and other experimental frameworks to rigorously evaluate the impact of new features, product changes, and strategic initiatives. Translate experimental results into clear, concise recommendations for stakeholders.
• • Build and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports using modern data visualization tools. These tools will serve as critical resources for business teams, enabling them to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions in real-time.
• • Champion data literacy across the organization by effectively communicating complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Develop compelling data narratives that drive understanding and inspire action.
• • Contribute to the development of our data infrastructure and best practices. This may involve working with data engineers to refine data models, improve data quality, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our data systems.
• • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and proactively identify opportunities to apply these innovations to solve Zip's unique business problems.
• • As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to mentor junior data scientists, contribute to technical strategy, and help foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the data team.
