- • Senior Staff Software Engineer (AI) at Juniper Square, leading the architecture and evolution of core systems powering the platform that serves 2,300+ GPs and $300B+ under administration, enabling scalable, secure, and performant software delivery for private markets.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include defining end-to-end systems architecture, designing scalable distributed systems, writing and reviewing production code, optimizing cloud spend, leading incident response, mentoring engineers, and partnering with product, security, and AI teams to support enterprise-scale workloads including JunieAI and agentic systems.

- • In this role, you will elevate engineering capabilities by shaping a paved-road platform, driving adoption of modern architectures (event-driven, infrastructure as code), ensuring enterprise readiness for $100B+ AUM clients, and influencing technical strategy at the executive level while remaining hands-on in code and design.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- • 15+ years in distributed systems, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles
- • Proven experience architecting large-scale, high-availability multi-tenant distributed systems in production
- • Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud-native stacks (Kubernetes, containers, service mesh, serverless)
- • Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or similar; strong systems-level debugging skills
- • Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) and modern CI/CD
- • Experience designing event-driven and streaming architectures (Kafka or similar)
- • Experience building developer platforms, internal tooling, or paved-road infrastructure at scale
- • Strong understanding of observability practices and SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, incident management)
- • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at production scale
- • Strong understanding of infrastructure security, multi-tenancy, and compliance best practices
