Your work directly supports GE Aerospace’s mission to advance aviation technology and deliver safe, sustainable flight for millions of passengers and crew each year.
- • You will manage end-to-end supplier engagement for assigned commodity accounts, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, overseeing long-term agreement (LTA) execution, leading negotiations for non-LTA contracts, and resolving supplier issues to maintain supply chain continuity and performance.
- • GE Aerospace is a global leader in aerospace propulsion with over a century of innovation, operating approximately 44,000 in-service commercial aircraft engines worldwide. The company is deeply committed to technological advancement, sustainability, and operational excellence, with a strong presence in China through joint ventures and partnerships serving over 60 airline customers in the Greater China Region.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement Operations, supplier engineering, finance, and quality to ensure compliance, drive process improvements, and support strategic procurement objectives that align with GE Aerospace’s goals for efficiency, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in strategic supplier management, contract negotiation, and global supply chain operations within the aerospace and defense industry. You will have the opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor junior team members, and influence sourcing strategies that impact multi-million-dollar commodity portfolios.
- • You will be responsible for progressing supplier selection activities, including evaluating proposals and quotes, conducting quote analysis, leading negotiations, securing business approvals, managing supply awards, and authoring contracts for parts procured outside of long-term agreements.
- • You will be accountable for strategic decision-making related to supplier order health, proactively monitoring and addressing risks to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost performance for assigned supplier accounts.
- • You will partner with supplier teams and Procurement Operations to ensure full compliance with GE Aerospace’s sourcing policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls across all procurement activities.
- • You will triage incoming supplier inquiries, issues, and change requests, serving as the primary point of contact to resolve concerns quickly and maintain strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
- • You will lead projects involving part procurement or technical changes requiring supplier engagement, coordinating technical, commercial, and logistical aspects to ensure seamless execution.
- • You will maintain deep market awareness and analyze key business drivers—such as demand forecasts, material availability, and geopolitical factors—to inform optimal supplier selection and sourcing strategies.
- • You will participate in ideating innovative contractual solutions designed to improve contract performance, reduce total cost of ownership, and enhance supply chain flexibility.
- • You will apply technical knowledge, sound judgment, and collaborative problem-solving to address complex supply chain challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- • You will serve as a mentor and coach to less experienced colleagues, sharing best practices in supplier management, negotiation, and procurement processes to build team capability.
- • You will communicate performance expectations clearly and handle sensitive issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders with diplomacy and professionalism.
- • This role requires up to 10% travel, primarily for supplier visits, internal alignment meetings, or participation in sourcing events.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management.
- • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management roles.
- • Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts with external suppliers, including ability to leverage creative commercial solutions to achieve mutual value.
- • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

- • Exposure to complex, high-impact procurement initiatives within a Fortune 500 aerospace leader committed to innovation and operational excellence.
- • Remote work flexibility with the ability to contribute to a global team from any location, supported by GE Aerospace’s investment in digital collaboration tools.
