- • Manage worldwide tax compliance, research, planning, and audit activities for WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. and all its subsidiaries and affiliates.
- • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws, as well as foreign jurisdiction tax regulations.
- • Prepare and file all Company tax returns, including those for international subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
- • Perform FAS 109 calculations and oversee related global tax accounting matters.
- • Coordinate and lead all worldwide tax audits conducted by tax authorities, serving as the primary point of contact for tax agencies and their representatives.
- • Communicate regularly with senior management, external tax advisors, accountants, and consultants to provide tax guidance and support.
- • Direct and coordinate the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings for foreign countries by managing local accountants in those jurisdictions.
- • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
- • Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions and advise leadership on potential impacts.
- • Provide accurate and timely tax reporting to support financial statement preparation and external audit processes.
- • Serve as the internal expert on international tax matters, ensuring alignment between global operations and tax obligations.
- • Support cross-functional initiatives by providing tax insights for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- • Maintain detailed documentation of tax positions, calculations, and compliance activities to support internal controls and external audits.
- • Work closely with the Controller to ensure tax functions are integrated with overall financial reporting and corporate strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience, including international tax compliance and planning
- • CPA license required
- • Demonstrated expertise in FAS 109 (ASC 740) and global tax accounting
- • Proven experience managing tax audits and interactions with U.S. and foreign tax authorities
- • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws
- • Experience coordinating tax reporting and financial filings across multiple foreign jurisdictions
