- • The Senior Technical Data Analyst at Vision Service Plan plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and usability of enterprise data assets, serving as a trusted bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to support scalable, high-trust analytics solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
- • This role is essential to maintaining the Global Data Warehouse as the single source of truth by evaluating, documenting, and enhancing data assets from diverse source systems, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for integrity, lineage, privacy, and reusability in support of self-service analytics, predictive modeling, and digital transformation initiatives.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include examining source systems to assess data assets for strategic value and integrity; performing data analysis through sampling, modeling, profiling, and statistical evaluation to understand data attributes and subject areas; collaborating with business and technical data stewards and owners to document processes and generate accurate metadata; researching and assessing data quality, lineage, and completeness for critical enterprise and master data.
- • The analyst documents data risks and opportunities, collaborates on remediation recommendations, creates and maintains business glossaries for specific subject areas, and trains others to leverage the glossary for self-service data discovery; recommends appropriate data sources for use cases and consults with architects and engineers to ensure reusability of business logic and data streams.
- • They foster cross-functional collaboration to position data as a strategic asset, enabling insight generation, dashboarding, advanced analytics (predictive/prescriptive modeling), corporate performance management, and digital transformation; ensure technical metadata and business glossary comply with data protection, privacy, and quality standards.
- • Working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team of data architects, analysts, engineers, BI developers, and scrum masters, the role enables secure and reliable access to data supporting various analytics solutions; contributes to documentation of technical specifications, metadata, and release documentation; uses SQL to analyze granular raw data from operational systems; communicates complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or equivalent experience; 4+ years of data analysis experience across legacy, cloud, and packaged applications using data analysis toolsets; 4+ years’ experience with analytical architectures, patterns, methods, and applications (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau) and data warehouse platforms (Netezza, Teradata, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).
- • Additional qualifications include 4+ years’ experience creating detailed technical specifications, metadata, and release documentation; proven ability to work with granular raw data via SQL; excellent written and verbal communication skills for gathering requirements and conveying technical ideas; experience in agile environments and a commitment to data governance, privacy, and quality standards.

- • 4+ years’ experience with analytical architectures, methods, and tools (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau) and data warehouse platforms (Netezza, Teradata, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
- • 4+ years’ experience creating detailed technical specifications, metadata, and release documentation
- • Proficiency in SQL for analyzing granular raw data from operational systems
