📋 Description
- • Design, implement, and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces for virtualization tools used in Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization.
- • Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into clean, functional React components using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- • Develop reusable front-end features with modern styling tools, ensuring adherence to UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards.
- • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across diverse devices and network conditions.
- • Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and Kubernetes-based services to support containerized workload management.
- • Participate in agile development ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives within a collaborative, open-source team environment.
- • Conduct and contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to team standards.
- • Define and implement front-end test strategies using Cypress or Playwright to ensure robust UI functionality and regression coverage.
- • Drive adoption of frontend development best practices and contribute to the evolution of the UI architecture and component library.
- • Monitor and resolve issues related to UI performance, usability, and user feedback to enhance customer experience.
- • Stay current with emerging trends in frontend engineering, open-source technologies, and cloud-native development ecosystems.
- • Work closely with quality engineers, product managers, and backend developers to align feature delivery with product goals and technical constraints.
- • Contribute to documentation, design systems, and internal knowledge sharing to support team-wide technical alignment and onboarding.
- • Engage with the broader open-source community to incorporate feedback and contribute improvements back to upstream projects where applicable.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional experience in frontend/UI development
- • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with deep knowledge of React
- • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- • Experience with front-end testing tools like Cypress or Playwright
- • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized application development
- • Experience working in agile, collaborative development teams
