- • Lead end-to-end design for complex enterprise SaaS features spanning automation builders, data orchestration, API management, and AI-integrated workflows.
- • Translate technically complex capabilities—such as data transformations, schema mapping, and automation logic—into intuitive, effortless user experiences for both technical and non-technical users.
- • Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define product vision, shape requirements, and drive design decisions—not just execute specs but influence what gets built and why.
- • Navigate ambiguity confidently by asking the right questions, pushing for clarity when needed, and making progress even when requirements are undefined or evolving.
- • Design intuitive interfaces for technically dense workflows, ensuring clarity and usability without sacrificing power or flexibility.
- • Collaborate with user researchers to frame research questions, validate design decisions with rigor, and incorporate user insights into iterative design cycles.
- • Contribute to and extend the company’s design system thoughtfully, ensuring consistency, scalability, and cohesion across product areas.
- • Give and receive constructive feedback within the design team to raise the standard of craft, execution, and usability across all deliverables.
- • Thoughtfully integrate AI-assisted capabilities into product features, identifying where AI adds value in both visible and invisible ways to enhance user outcomes.
- • Drive projects with autonomy: define approaches, manage complexity, prioritize tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality outcomes without close oversight.
- • Advocate for users by pushing back on requirements that compromise usability or user needs, and make hard decisions when timelines, resources, or scope are constrained.
- • Work across multiple product domains to identify cross-cutting opportunities and ensure cohesive, unified experiences throughout the Workato platform.
- • Maintain deep technical fluency to engage effectively with engineering teams on implementation tradeoffs, system architecture, and technical constraints.
- • Utilize Figma for all design and prototyping work; experience with Framer, code-based prototyping, or AI-assisted design tools is advantageous.
- • Balance innovation with operational discipline, ensuring designs are not only visionary but also feasible, scalable, and aligned with enterprise-grade security and governance standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with significant time in enterprise SaaS, developer tools, or technically complex domains
- • Portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex problems end-to-end, preferably involving workflows, data pipelines, integrations, or technical configuration interfaces
- • Deep technical fluency in concepts such as data transformations, API configurations, schema mapping, and automation logic
- • Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping
- • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate rationale, influence cross-functional teams, and give/receive constructive feedback
- • Experience working through ambiguity and competing priorities, knowing when to push back versus when to adapt
