📋 Description

• Senior UX Researcher at Fivetran Inc. plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the data pipeline platform by grounding product decisions in deep customer insights, ensuring that data access remains simple, reliable, and impactful for businesses of all sizes.
• The role is critical to Fivetran’s mission of making data access as simple and reliable as electricity, directly influencing product strategy through rigorous research that drives innovation and customer success.
• Plan, manage, and execute user research programs across focused product areas, ensuring alignment with both user needs and stakeholder goals.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and analytics teams to co-create research initiatives that address strategic questions and inform product roadmaps.
• Guide product and design partners on research methodology, question framing, and best practices, empowering teams to conduct effective self-run studies.
• Identify emerging customer and user needs through ethnographic and generative research to uncover opportunities for new product development.
• Synthesize findings from qualitative and quantitative research, along with analytics data, into compelling narratives that inspire ideation sessions and influence cross-functional decision-making.
• Present research insights through engaging, story-driven presentations that build consensus and drive action among peers and leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience with mixed-method qualitative and quantitative research, including designing and executing studies that combine interviews, surveys, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing research philosophy, methodological rigor, storytelling ability, and clear evidence of impact on product or business outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated mindset with a bias toward action, comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading greenfield projects from discovery to completion.
• Ability to craft engaging, narrative-driven presentations that influence stakeholders and translate research insights into actionable product recommendations.
• Strong desire to deeply understand users and how Fivetran’s product impacts their success in data workflows and decision-making processes.
• Professional experience working within the data industry, including familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, or related analytics tools.
