  • • As a Service Delivery Manager at Astronomer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring professional services engagements are delivered efficiently and with outstanding results, directly contributing to customer success and platform adoption of the industry-leading Astro DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®.
  • • You will bring structure, organization, and energy to customer engagements, enabling technical teams to deliver solutions that unlock data-driven insights and AI value for over 800 leading enterprises worldwide.
  • • Manage a portfolio of customer engagements, maintaining visibility across both active projects and broader account objectives to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • • Develop, update, and track detailed project plans including milestones, timelines, and responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • • Facilitate regular engagement cadences with customers to ensure alignment, maintain momentum, monitor progress, and foster collaborative relationships.
  • • Collaborate with customers to identify and maintain a backlog of initiatives that support platform adoption and long-term value realization.
  • • Orchestrate internal scoping and execution with Service Delivery Engineers and Architects, aligning technical resources with customer needs.
  • • Monitor service utilization to ensure projects remain within contracted scope, preventing scope creep and managing expectations.
  • • Proactively surface delivery risks and coordinate resources to resolve blockers before they impact timelines or outcomes.
  • • Partner with Sales and Account teams to align delivery work with overall account strategies and priorities, creating a seamless customer journey from sale to adoption.
  • • Work within the Pacific Time Zone (PST) as part of a remote-first U.S.-based team, collaborating across time zones with global customers and internal stakeholders.
  • • Report to the Senior Manager of Service Delivery and contribute to refining delivery processes, best practices, and customer success frameworks.
  • • Help customers progress smoothly from kickoff to full adoption of Astronomer’s solutions, maximizing ROI and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • • Gain deep exposure to enterprise data infrastructure, modern data stack technologies, and cloud-native platforms through hands-on engagement with diverse technical environments.
  • • Develop advanced skills in technical project management, stakeholder alignment, and SaaS delivery methodologies in a high-growth, innovative company.
  • • Build expertise in data orchestration, DataOps practices, and Apache Airflow®-based workflows, positioning yourself at the forefront of modern data engineering.
  • • Enhance leadership and communication abilities by bridging technical and business stakeholders, driving clarity and action across complex initiatives.
  • • Contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on empowering data teams to unlock the full potential of their data through reliable, scalable, and secure data products.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3–5 years of experience in project management, professional services, technical program management, or similar roles in a SaaS or technical services environment.
  • • Proven track record in building and managing project plans for technical or software implementation projects.
  • • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous customer engagements while coordinating across technical stakeholders.
  • • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • • Experience working with technical teams and customers in SaaS, data infrastructure, or developer-focused environments.
  • • Confidence in bringing order and momentum to complex projects where priorities may evolve.
