Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Be the face of Lucid Motors at our flagship Tysons Galleria location, delivering white-glove service that matches the luxury and innovation of our vehicles. As a Service Technician, you will own the end-to-end customer experience for every Lucid Air that rolls into the gallery—diagnosing, repairing, and educating owners with the same precision and passion that went into designing the car itself.
  • • Diagnose complex high-voltage battery, drivetrain, thermal-management, and ADAS issues using Lucid’s proprietary diagnostic tools, OEM service information, and cutting-edge oscilloscopes/multimeters. You will interpret DTCs, firmware logs, and CAN-bus data to pinpoint root causes in minutes—not hours—ensuring our clients’ vehicles maintain peak performance and safety.
  • • Execute both routine maintenance (tire rotations, brake inspections, cabin-filter swaps) and advanced repairs (battery pack module replacement, inverter rebuilds, suspension calibration) in a pristine indoor gallery environment that feels more like an art museum than a service bay. Every torque spec, software flash, and panel gap is measured against Lucid’s exacting standards.
  • • Partner with the Remote Technical Support team to escalate and resolve rare or emerging field issues, feeding real-world data back to our engineering teams in Newark, CA. Your frontline insights directly influence over-the-air software updates and next-generation hardware revisions—your wrench today becomes the firmware fix of tomorrow.
  • • Educate owners during vehicle hand-off, demonstrating new features delivered via OTA updates, explaining warranty coverage, and setting service expectations. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, reassuring language that leaves every client confident in both their car and the Lucid brand.
  • • Maintain a spotless, organized workspace that aligns with Tysons Galleria’s luxury retail standards. Tools are shadow-boarded, parts are bar-coded, and digital repair orders are updated in real time so that any colleague—or client—can see exactly what stage their vehicle is in.
  • • Schedule and coordinate mobile service visits when a lift or specialized tool is not required, maximizing convenience for owners and minimizing downtime. You will dispatch yourself or a teammate, ensuring the same quality standards are met in a driveway as in the gallery.
  • • Champion safety above all else: lock-out/tag-out procedures, high-voltage PPE, and battery de-energization protocols are second nature. You will mentor junior technicians and gallery associates on safe handling practices, creating a culture where zero incidents is the only acceptable goal.
  • • Track parts inventory, warranty claim accuracy, and customer-satisfaction scores daily. You will use Lucid’s Service CRM to flag recurring issues, forecast parts demand, and ensure every repair is closed out with CSI scores that exceed luxury-segment benchmarks.
  • • Contribute to continuous-improvement kaizen events, suggesting ergonomic bay layouts, tool upgrades, or software enhancements that shave minutes off cycle time without compromising quality. Your ideas will be heard by regional and HQ leadership during monthly service roundtables.
  • • Represent Lucid at local Cars & Coffee events, EV-club meetups, and sustainability fairs, answering technical questions and collecting feedback that shapes future service bulletins. You become a trusted ambassador, turning curious onlookers into lifelong Lucid advocates.
  • • Embrace a flexible schedule that includes one weekend day and occasional evening events, ensuring Tysons Galleria clients receive concierge-level support whenever they need it. Remote work options are available for diagnostics, customer follow-ups, and training webinars—yet your presence on-site remains the cornerstone of our premium service promise.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of automotive service experience on advanced EV or high-voltage hybrid platforms
  • • ASE L3 or equivalent EV/hybrid certification, plus A6, A8, and G1 strongly preferred
  • • Proficiency with CAN-bus diagnostics, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and OEM scan tools
  • • Clean driving record and ability to operate service vehicles and lifts safely
  • • High-voltage safety training and comfort working on 400-800 V systems
  • • Exceptional customer-facing communication skills in English; bilingual a plus

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive hourly wage plus quarterly performance bonuses
  • • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match
  • • Lucid vehicle lease program at deeply discounted rates
  • • Paid training and continuous education on cutting-edge EV technology
