Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Join InvestorFlow, a pioneering company revolutionizing the alternative asset industry with our specialized CRM and digital portals built on the Salesforce platform. We empower alternative asset firms to discover opportunities, cultivate and manage crucial relationships, and transform relationship insights into actionable strategies, driving unprecedented productivity and transparency.
  • As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing the reliability of our critical systems, ensuring operational excellence across the board. Your expertise will be vital in driving improvements through meticulous configuration-as-code adjustments and fostering seamless collaboration with our Engineering and DevOps teams.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence our technical direction. You will actively participate in architectural design reviews, providing crucial SRE perspectives to ensure new systems and features are built with reliability at their core from inception.
  • A key responsibility will be validating and enforcing our stringent reliability standards. This involves deep dives into system performance, availability, and scalability, ensuring that every component meets our high bar for production readiness.
  • You will conduct thorough audits of our production systems, proactively identifying potential risks, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization. Your insights will directly contribute to maintaining the stability and performance of our services for our valued clients.
  • Ensuring systems meet SRE production-readiness requirements is paramount. This includes defining and implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies that minimize downtime and impact.
  • While this role does not involve the direct building of infrastructure or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), a strong conceptual understanding of IaC principles is essential. You will be expected to read and comprehend configurations written in tools like Terraform and HCL, enabling you to effectively assess their reliability implications and influence best practices.
  • You will collaborate closely with development teams to embed reliability into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This includes providing guidance on designing for failure, implementing effective testing strategies, and promoting a culture of shared responsibility for system health.
  • Your work will involve developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for SRE processes, runbooks, and system architectures, ensuring knowledge transfer and consistency across the team.
  • You will be a key player in our incident management process, participating in on-call rotations, leading post-incident reviews, and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and safety of deployments.
  • Analyze system performance metrics, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance scalability, latency, and resource utilization.
  • Work with engineering teams to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for critical services and ensure adherence to these targets.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in areas such as chaos engineering, load testing, and disaster recovery planning.
  • You will be a trusted advisor, helping to shape the future of InvestorFlow's infrastructure and operations by ensuring that reliability is a foundational element of our growth and innovation.
  • This role requires a proactive and analytical mindset, with a passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to delivering highly available and performant systems.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, contributing directly to the success of a company at the forefront of financial technology.
  • Your contributions will directly impact the experience of our clients, ensuring they have seamless access to the tools they need to succeed in the alternative asset market.
  • We encourage a culture of learning and growth, providing opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in the ever-evolving field of site reliability engineering.
  • This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to work from anywhere within Santo Domingo, allowing you to integrate your professional life with your personal preferences.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related systems engineering role, with a strong understanding of reliability principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) configurations, particularly in Terraform/HCL, to assess system designs and influence best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools and strategies (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their role in ensuring application reliability.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and best practices for automated deployments and testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work remotely from Santo Domingo, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Be part of a growing and innovative company at the forefront of financial technology.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.
