- • As a SIU Field Investigator for Property & Casualty (P&C) in the San Diego metro area, you will protect USAA and its members from fraudulent claims by conducting thorough investigations in compliance with state laws and company policies, directly supporting the organization’s mission to serve the military community with integrity and trust.
- • Day to day, you will investigate questionable first- and third-party P&C claims by applying knowledge of fraud schemes, insurance products, and state regulations; collect evidence through field interviews, database searches, and public records; prepare detailed investigative reports; develop fraud prevention strategies; maintain relationships with law enforcement and industry partners; assist with fraud awareness training; and handle CAT duty responsibilities as needed, all while using a company car for regular business travel.
- • You will join USAA’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), a team dedicated to safeguarding members and the company from fraud through ethical, compliant, and proactive investigations, grounded in USAA’s core values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and service.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in P&C fraud investigation, enhance your analytical and reporting skills, build professional networks in law enforcement and insurance industries, and have opportunities to pursue professional designations (e.g., CFE, CPCU) and advance within USAA’s structured career path with support for continuing education and professional growth.
