  • • Mollie B.V. is seeking a driven and ambitious Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) to spearhead our expansion efforts in the critical Italian market. This role is pivotal to our mission of simplifying payments and money management for businesses across Europe, making finance less frictional and more freeing. As a Senior BDR, you will be at the forefront of identifying and engaging high-potential businesses, directly contributing to our objective of eradicating financial bureaucracy for merchants throughout Italy.
  • • You will become an integral part of a dynamic and rapidly growing team, collaborating closely with fellow BDRs and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to cultivate a robust pipeline of high-quality leads. This position is designed for a proactive individual who is eager to take ownership of their territory, influence strategic business decisions, and witness the tangible impact of their efforts on our growth metrics. If you are passionate about sales, driven by results, and excited by the prospect of shaping the future of fintech, this is an unparalleled opportunity.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to own the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting through to closing deals, thereby building our sales pipeline within the Italian market and consistently achieving your revenue targets. This involves a strategic and multi-faceted approach to identifying and engaging prospective clients.
  • • You will drive high-impact outbound prospecting campaigns utilizing a comprehensive multi-channel strategy. This includes leveraging phone calls, targeted email outreach, and sophisticated social selling techniques to identify, connect with, and nurture relationships with high-potential businesses that align with Mollie's ideal customer profile.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to conduct in-depth discovery calls. These calls are crucial for understanding the unique challenges and pain points faced by potential clients, effectively qualifying opportunities, and articulating the distinct value proposition of the Mollie platform. Your ability to listen, empathize, and problem-solve will be paramount.
  • • You will take the lead in commercial and contractual negotiations, guiding prospects from the initial proposal stage through to the final signature. Your expertise in closing deals will be essential in converting qualified prospects into loyal Mollie customers.
  • • This role demands close collaboration with various internal teams, including Marketing, Product, and Onboarding. By working synergistically with these departments, you will contribute to refining our go-to-market strategy, ensuring seamless customer transitions, and ultimately fostering the long-term success and satisfaction of our clients.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and executing territory-specific sales plans, identifying key market segments, and tailoring outreach strategies to resonate with the Italian business landscape.
  • • Staying abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the fintech and payments space will be crucial for maintaining a competitive edge and identifying new opportunities.
  • • You will be expected to maintain meticulous records of all sales activities, prospect interactions, and pipeline progression within our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and providing valuable insights for forecasting and strategic planning.
  • • As a Senior BDR, you will also have opportunities to mentor junior team members, share best practices, and contribute to the overall development of the sales team's capabilities.
  • • This role offers a unique chance to be part of one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies, contributing directly to our expansion in a key European market. You will work alongside a talented and ambitious team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The fast-paced environment at Mollie ensures that your contributions are recognized and that you have the autonomy to make a significant impact.
