- • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of 6-10 software engineers in our Toronto hub, setting clear technical direction and career growth paths while embodying Homebase’s “Win Together” value.
- • Own the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered products that directly accelerate the velocity of 100,000+ small businesses—from intelligent scheduling and payroll forecasting to real-time labor optimization—ensuring every release raises the bar for customer impact.
- • Translate ambitious product visions into executable engineering roadmaps, balancing rapid experimentation with rock-solid reliability; you’ll define quarterly OKRs, manage capacity, and ruthlessly prioritize features that move the needle for hourly teams.

- • Represent Homebase externally by speaking at meetups, contributing to open-source projects, and sharing engineering blog posts that showcase our AI innovations and engineering culture.
- • Own production incident response and post-mortems, turning failures into learning opportunities that strengthen both systems and team resilience.
- • Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with Canadian data-privacy regulations and labor standards, embedding security-by-design into every feature.
