- • Own the day-to-day voice of The Block on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok—turning complex crypto research and breaking news into scroll-stopping posts, memes, threads, and short-form videos that spark conversation and drive measurable follower growth.
- • Collaborate directly with the Head of Brand & Media to design and execute a cross-platform social strategy that aligns editorial calendars, product launches, and market-moving events into one cohesive narrative.
- • Repackage long-form articles, data-rich research reports, and 30-minute podcast episodes into platform-native assets: 90-second Reels, 15-second TikTok explainers, carousel infographics, and punchy Twitter threads that consistently beat engagement benchmarks.
- • Build and maintain a living content calendar in Notion (or similar) that tracks embargoed stories, product drops, podcast releases, and macro market events—ensuring every post is timed for maximum relevance and SEO lift.
- • Monitor crypto Twitter, Discord, and Telegram 24/7 to surface trending hashtags, viral memes, and sentiment shifts; flag opportunities or misinformation within 30 minutes and propose rapid-response posts that position The Block as the first credible source.
- • Engage directly with followers, KOLs, and partner brands in comments and DMs—escalating high-risk issues, nurturing superfans, and seeding conversations that convert passive readers into newsletter subscribers and research clients.
- • Run weekly giveaways, Twitter Spaces, and cross-promotions with crypto creators; negotiate simple partnership swaps that expand reach without paid spend.
- • Collect and organize performance data from Twitter Analytics, YouTube Studio, and LinkedIn Insights; build concise weekly recap decks that highlight wins, flops, and next-step experiments for the broader marketing team.
- • Experiment fearlessly with emerging formats—AI-generated visuals, interactive polls, live-tweeted Fed hearings—then document what worked in a shared playbook so the entire Brand & Media team can scale successes.
- • Gain hands-on mastery of Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Megaphone, Riverside, ChatGPT, Trint, Epidemic Sound, and Dropbox—leaving the internship with a portfolio of published work and a letter of recommendation from senior leadership.
- • Contribute to culture: join virtual coffee chats, optional IRL meetups, and internal “show-and-tell” sessions where you’ll present your favorite viral post and teach the team one new growth hack you discovered that week.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- • Demonstrated understanding of crypto culture—active on Twitter Crypto, Discord, and Telegram with the ability to translate on-chain events into relatable social content
- • Proven ability to write concise, witty copy and create simple static or video assets; portfolio of past posts, memes, or short-form videos preferred
- • Comfortable interpreting social analytics (impressions, engagement rate, CTR) and turning data into actionable next steps
- • Organized self-starter who can juggle multiple deadlines in a fully remote, fast-paced environment across US and European time zones
