📋 Description

• Lead BeReal’s owned social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, and BeReal, with potential expansion to emerging platforms
• Reignite community engagement through creative, raw, and resonant content aligned with BeReal’s values of authenticity, mental health, and presence
• Design and own the global content calendar, balancing planned storytelling with real-time reactive posts
• Shape and maintain BeReal’s distinct voice and tone across all social platforms to reinforce its unique position in the social landscape
• Collaborate with the user community to elevate user-generated content (UGC) and amplify the most passionate voices
• Partner with the Brand Strategy team to execute campaigns that drive growth, build brand trust, and ensure cultural relevance, particularly as BeReal introduces monetization and ads
• Track, analyze, and interpret performance metrics to inform strategy and optimize for engagement, reach, and resonance
• Ensure all social media activities are fully aligned with overall brand strategy and communications priorities
• Create content that feels human, on-trend, and on-brand — from lo-fi check-ins to thumb-stopping creative
• Reactivate and reinvent BeReal’s presence on global social platforms to reconnect with its 40M+ monthly active users
• Maintain a deep understanding of Gen Z behavior, cultural trends, memes, and attention drivers to keep content authentic and impactful
• Possess strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to produce or direct content that resonates with youth-focused audiences
• Work autonomously with a test-learn-optimize mindset, taking creative risks while staying true to BeReal’s core identity
• Contribute to the evolution of BeReal as it scales into an iconic social network used by hundreds of millions

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years experience managing social media for a youth-focused, culture-first brand or platform on a global scale (ideally EMEA + USA)
• Deep understanding of Gen Z behavior, trends, memes, and what it takes to earn attention and trust
• Strong creative instincts and impeccable taste — ability to discern what feels authentic versus forced
• Proven ability to grow and engage large audiences across TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms
• Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills; bonus if experienced in shooting or editing content
• Passionate about authenticity, mental health, and building a better version of social media
