📋 Description

• As a Social Media Strategist focused on Twitter (X) and Reddit, you will be the primary voice of Cohere in two of the most influential technical communities in the AI space, shaping how developers, researchers, and enterprise decision-makers perceive and engage with our frontier models and Sovereign AI vision.
• Your work will directly amplify Cohere’s brand credibility and technical authority by translating complex AI concepts into accessible, compelling narratives that drive community trust, product awareness, and adoption among a global audience of AI practitioners and innovators.
• Day to day, you will develop and execute platform-specific content strategies for X and Reddit, crafting original posts, threads, AMAs, and multimedia assets that resonate with AI-savvy audiences while maintaining brand consistency and technical accuracy.
• You will actively participate in and steward conversations across relevant subreddits and X communities, responding to questions, clarifying model capabilities, and championing Cohere’s ethical AI positioning in real-time discussions.
• You will create diverse content formats — including short-form video, infographics, carousels, and long-form explanations — optimized for each platform’s algorithm and user behavior, leveraging AI-assisted tools for ideation, drafting, and performance prediction.
• You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Design, and Engineering teams to align social content with product launches, research releases, and company-wide campaigns, ensuring timely and cohesive messaging.
• You will monitor, analyze, and report on key social metrics (engagement rate, sentiment, reach, follower growth) using native and third-party analytics tools, using insights to iterate on content format, timing, and messaging strategies.
• You will stay ahead of emerging AI and social media trends, experimenting with new formats (e.g., Spaces, Reddit Talk, AI-generated avatars) and platforms to identify early opportunities for Cohere’s community engagement.
• You will partner with Design and Creative teams to produce visually compelling assets that complement copy, ensuring all content meets brand guidelines while standing out in crowded feeds.
• You will contribute to cross-functional initiatives such as developer outreach programs, educational content series, and community events, helping bridge the gap between Cohere’s research and real-world AI adoption.
• You will help build and refine Cohere’s social media playbook for technical audiences, establishing best practices for tone, frequency, and engagement that can scale across teams and regions.
• You will grow your expertise in AI communication, learning how to distill complex model behaviors (like RAG, fine-tuning, and retrieval) into clear, engaging stories that resonate with both technical and business audiences.
• You will deepen your understanding of developer community dynamics, gaining credibility as a trusted voice in AI discourse while expanding your network across researchers, founders, and enterprise AI leaders.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of proven experience in community management, content creation, and audience growth specifically on X (Twitter) and Reddit, preferably within a technology, SaaS, or AI-focused organization.
• Demonstrated ability to create platform-native content — including text, visuals, and short-form video — that drives engagement, fosters discussion, and builds trust in technical communities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., X Analytics, Reddit Insights, Sprout Social, or similar) to measure performance and inform strategy.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across Marketing, Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align social efforts with broader initiatives.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn — prior deep technical knowledge is not required, but a strong interest in AI trends, model capabilities, and developer use cases is essential.
• Proven adaptability and comfort experimenting with emerging formats, tools, and platforms, including AI-assisted content creation tools for ideation, copywriting, or asset generation.
