- • The Software Application Specialist at Motorola Solutions plays a critical role in ensuring public safety agencies can effectively adopt and utilize mission-critical software solutions, directly supporting safer communities through optimized workflows and technology integration.
- • Day to day, the specialist leads operational assessments and business process reviews, evaluates existing workflows for improvement opportunities, facilitates business process reengineering initiatives, designs and delivers training programs, coordinates User Acceptance Testing, acts as a liaison between technical teams and customers, supports project management efforts, and communicates analysis and project updates to stakeholders through clear presentations.
- • The role sits within the Command Center Software (CCSW) organization, which focuses on minimizing customer downtime during software upgrades and optimizing maintenance experiences for public safety clients who rely on Motorola Solutions’ technologies as their lifeline in high-stakes environments.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in public safety software integration, strengthen business analysis and process improvement skills, enhance technical communication and training delivery abilities, and gain experience collaborating across engineering, project management, and customer teams to deliver configurable COTS solutions that meet real-world agency needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in public safety software integration and deployment processes
- • 3+ years of experience in Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, CAD, Record Management Systems, or Jail Applications
- • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, Engineering or related field, or 3+ years of equivalent public safety IT experience
- • Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers
- • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
- • Proficiency in creating documentation, presentations, and spreadsheets
