We are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior-Level Software Architect, with a specialized focus on Data & Analytics, to spearhead the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art enterprise analytics platform.
• • This pivotal role will be instrumental in defining our organization’s target-state data architecture, establishing robust and scalable data pipelines, and creating comprehensive reporting frameworks. You will be responsible for setting the foundational standards that ensure reliable, self-service analytics capabilities are accessible across the entire business.
• • This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic vision with hands-on technical leadership. You will be tasked with simplifying our intricate data landscape, optimizing existing tooling and associated costs, and architecting a scalable Lakehouse-style data environment. This architecture will be designed to effectively support both operational reporting and in-depth analytical insights.
• • Collaboration will be key as you work closely with our dedicated engineering teams and diverse business stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure that data is meticulously structured, rigorously governed, and seamlessly delivered, thereby empowering informed and meaningful decision-making throughout the company.
• • Beyond architectural leadership, this role encompasses hands-on prototyping of innovative solutions, defining stringent governance and data quality standards, actively mentoring development teams, and guiding the organization towards achieving a mature, scalable, and cost-effective analytics capability.
• • **Key Focus Areas:**
• • **Architecture & Strategy:** Define the overarching enterprise data architecture, including the design of robust data pipelines and sophisticated reporting layers. Establish scalable Lakehouse or medallion data models (comprising bronze, silver, and gold layers) to ensure data quality and accessibility. Simplify and rationalize the existing portfolio of analytics tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity. Develop a long-term strategic roadmap for data and analytics that is tightly aligned with evolving business goals and objectives.
• • **Hands-On Technical Leadership:** Take the lead in building essential reference implementations and detailed architectural blueprints that serve as guides for development. Prototype innovative solutions to address complex challenges and provide clear direction and guidance to development teams. Ensure that all implemented solutions are designed for scalability, optimal performance, and long-term maintainability.
• • **Governance & Standards:** Implement comprehensive data governance frameworks, encompassing data quality assurance, data lineage tracking, metadata cataloging, and data stewardship responsibilities. Establish clear naming conventions, documentation standards, and data cataloging practices to promote consistency and understanding. Enable true self-service analytics for business users while rigorously maintaining data integrity and security.
• • **Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement:** Forge strong partnerships with business leaders to deeply understand and support their strategic reporting needs and analytical requirements. Actively mentor and coach engineering teams on adopting and adhering to architectural best practices. Effectively translate complex technical concepts and architectural decisions into clear, understandable business value propositions for non-technical audiences.
• • **Scope & Expectations:** This role is central to defining and establishing the enterprise data architecture standards, proven patterns, and the essential governance framework that will be adopted and utilized across the entire organization. Key expectations include establishing a highly scalable and cost-efficient analytics architecture, defining clear architectural standards, best practices, and implementation patterns, guiding engineering teams through the adoption of these architectural principles, leading critical architecture reviews and strategic platform decisions, and fostering a self-service analytics environment while upholding stringent governance protocols. You will be a key player in significantly advancing the organization’s overall data maturity and analytical capabilities, driving data-informed strategies and operational excellence.
• • **Tools & Environment:** You will operate within a modern, cloud-based enterprise data environment, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Power BI (including its advanced Copilot capabilities), Microsoft Fabric, and/or other leading AWS data services. Your work will involve relational databases and various cloud storage platforms, interacting with a mix of existing ETL, replication, and pipeline technologies that are currently undergoing a strategic modernization effort.
