📋 Description
- • Manage complex software licensing requirements to ensure compliance across Capita and its clients, reducing financial risk and identifying cost-optimisation opportunities.
- • Deliver accurate and effective licence reconciliations for major Tier-1 vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and SAP, with experience covering multiple vendors preferred.
- • Lead end-to-end processes for major vendor audits, ensuring timely and compliant responses to licensing inquiries and enforcement actions.
- • Work directly with technical teams including Architects, Analysts, and Consultants to interpret software usage data and align licensing positions with actual deployments.
- • Review, import, and validate new purchase data from third-party systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date software asset records.
- • Manually process Proof of Entitlement documentation to reconcile software installations where automated reconciliation tools are insufficient.
- • Analyse market changes and emerging technologies to assess their impact on vendor licensing models and update compliance strategies accordingly.
- • Develop and enhance Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across the organisation.
- • Qualify and verify all data sources used in SAM processing to ensure the integrity of compliance reporting and audit readiness.
- • Collaborate with Data Analysts to correctly identify software products discovered across the hardware estate and map them to valid licence entitlements.
- • Develop optimised vendor licence positions that align with actual usage while minimising over-licensing and avoiding non-compliance penalties.
- • Communicate complex licensing positions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying regulatory and contractual obligations.
- • Maintain SC clearance status or actively pursue SC clearance, as this is a mandatory requirement for the role.
- • Operate from a home-based location with occasional ad hoc travel required for training sessions.
- • Contribute to the growth of Capita’s ITAM function during a period of high visibility and increasing client demand, helping to shape best practices in software compliance.
