- • The Software Developer role at Republic Services is critical to driving the company's technology transformation, focusing on building innovative platforms that enhance customer and employee experiences through superior technology solutions.
- • Day to day, the developer will conceptualize and create technical specifications, write and test high-quality code using Agile and Scrum methodologies, assist in system design, provide Tier 3 support for escalated IT issues, maintain vendor relationships, and support production release activities.
- • The team is part of Republic Services' IT organization, which is leading a major technology transformation to build scalable, innovative platforms that support the company's mission in environmental services and sustainability.
- • In this role, the developer will deepen expertise in the full Software Development Lifecycle, gain hands-on experience with .NET technologies including ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, MVC, Razor, Blazor, WPF, and SSRS, and grow through mentoring less experienced developers and collaborating with product owners and IT analysts.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing high quality software
- • Experience with software development best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
- • Experience with system integration, including middleware tools
- • Ability to design solutions that solve critical business problems and present them to business partners
- • Understanding of and consistent practice in effective collaboration within an Agile environment
- • Demonstrated expert knowledge of the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and supporting highly transactional, mission critical applications in multi-user systems
