- • Software Development Engineer - MEX P4 role focused on building data infrastructure for modern water management systems that help utilities monitor, predict, and respond to sensor data in near real-time.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and scaling cloud-native backend services on AWS, building and optimizing data pipelines for high-frequency time-series data, delivering AI/ML-powered features through backend systems and APIs, owning features end-to-end from design to production, resolving bottlenecks in data flow and query performance, building infrastructure for ML model serving and feature pipelines, leveraging AI-assisted development practices, collaborating across engineering, product, and AI/ML teams, and raising technical standards through design and code reviews and mentoring.
- • Part of the Autodesk Info360 Operational Analytics team, which builds data infrastructure powering modern water management for utilities managing thousands of sensors.
- • Opportunity to work on high-impact systems that drive critical decisions in water operations, gain deep expertise in scalable backend and data engineering, contribute to AI/ML feature delivery, and grow technical leadership through mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building and shipping large-scale backend systems in production
- • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis or similar)
- • Experience with time-series data: storage, querying, or analytics at scale
- • Strong AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, DynamoDB)
- • Solid systems design skills across distributed and event-driven architectures
- • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure: building systems that support model serving or integration
- • Experience with Snowflake or comparable data warehouse
- • Strong observability and production debugging experience
- • Proven ability to collaborate and drive alignment across multiple teams
