📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers while remaining hands-on through code reviews, architecture design, and targeted development work
• Drive delivery of scalable backend services and high-volume APIs supporting device lifecycle management and data processing
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and cross-functional teams to define and implement shared services and platform standards
• Own roadmap execution, balancing speed and quality while guiding the team through ambiguity and complex technical challenges
• Support production systems, including troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimization
• Promote engineering best practices, including CI/CD, observability, and secure development standards
• Encourage adoption of modern development tools and practices to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership and team mentorship
• Strong experience designing and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs in production environments
• Deep hands-on proficiency with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and related services
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-based deployments
• Working knowledge of API security, authentication mechanisms, and secure development practices
• Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting and incident management
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across teams
• Ability to work remotely within Canada with availability overlapping Eastern Time hours
