- • As a Backend Software Engineer at Madhive, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the scalable, enterprise-level software systems that power the company’s innovative operating system for local media professionals, enabling them to reach local audiences at national scale through premium supply partnerships and end-to-end campaign tools.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing software solutions for complex problems, writing clean and maintainable code, optimizing systems for performance and reliability, debugging production issues, conducting code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers, and communicating technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- • You will join a cross-functional Agile development team at Madhive, a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to transforming local media through technology, with offices in Redwood City, CA and Downtown NYC, operating in a hybrid work model (2-3 days per week in-office).
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in backend engineering, gain hands-on experience with modern programming languages and cloud platforms, contribute to high-impact SaaS products, and grow as a technical leader by championing software excellence and continuous process improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with backend or full stack software engineering
- • Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, C#, Java, Kotlin, Rust)
- • Experience delivering SaaS software
- • Knowledge of software design patterns
- • Experience with API development, including REST or gRPC
- • Knowledge of secure development principles
- • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
