📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer at Cotality, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to make the property industry faster, smarter, and more people-centric by developing scalable, high-quality software solutions that power property intelligence platforms used globally.
• Your work will directly contribute to unlocking new possibilities in real estate technology, supporting a resilient society through innovation in one of the world’s largest asset classes.
• Day to day, you will develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular and Node.js (TypeScript), ensuring responsive, user-friendly interfaces for property data visualization and interaction.
• You will build and support back-end services and APIs using Laravel (PHP), focusing on reliability, security, and efficient data handling for core property intelligence systems.
• You will ensure strong alignment between front-end and back-end systems by optimizing database queries, maintaining API consistency, and validating data flow across microservices.
• You will write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices, including proper documentation, modular design, and adherence to coding standards.
• You will perform design and code reviews to uphold code quality, performance, and reliability, providing constructive feedback to peers while learning from their expertise.
• You will provide development estimates for enhancement requests, helping product and engineering teams plan sprints and releases with accuracy.
• You will test programs rigorously to ensure quality and expected results prior to Quality Engineering handoff, reducing defects and improving release confidence.
• You will investigate and resolve bugs and deficiencies across project codebases, diagnosing root causes and implementing timely fixes in collaboration with support and QA teams.
• You will work on projects of moderate to advanced complexity, ranging from feature enhancements to system refactors, requiring deep technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, support teams, and engineering peers in an Agile environment, translating business needs into technical solutions through clear communication and teamwork.
• You will stay current with evolving technologies, tools, and best practices through ongoing learning, including exploring advancements in AI, cloud platforms, and modern web frameworks to drive continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in both front-end and back-end development in software as a service (SaaS) environments
• Solid experience working with MySQL for database design, querying, and optimization
• Experience designing and maintaining server-side applications using PHP-based frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in debugging and system design
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team, particularly in Agile settings
• Clear communication skills and a respectful, team-focused approach to technical discussions and feedback
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative code management
• Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
