- • As a Software Engineer on Lyft’s Ad Infra team, you will contribute to building the systems and pipelines powering Lyft’s advertising platform, enabling brands to engage with riders and drivers throughout their transportation journeys.
- • Day to day, you will develop and maintain backend systems for real-time ad serving, design scalable data models, build and monitor data pipelines using orchestration tools like Airflow, and collaborate with product, data science, and analytics teams via APIs and batch feeds.
- • You will join a growing, high-impact team within Lyft focused on creating the world’s largest transportation media network, working in a supportive, inclusive environment that values engineering excellence and business impact.
- • This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with distributed backend systems, large-scale data workflows, and modern cloud technologies, supported by mentorship and clear paths for technical growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- • 3+ years of industry experience in backend or data engineering roles
- • Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java)
- • Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and database design (SQL and NoSQL)
- • Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) and data distribution technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery, DynamoDB)
