📋 Description

• Software Engineer, Backend role focused on building and owning critical financial systems that power Imprint’s modern credit and rewards platform, enabling brands to grow customer lifetime value through innovative financial products.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and shipping net-new backend services, improving existing systems for transaction authorization, ledger accounting, credit decisioning, and rewards engines, while contributing to shared platform infrastructure and leveraging AI tools across the development lifecycle.
• The engineering team at Imprint is building a world-class platform to redefine how people pay and how brands grow, backed by top-tier investors and partnered with major brands like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell.
• In this role, you will gain deep expertise in fintech systems, distributed transactions, AI-augmented development, and scalable backend architecture, while owning real outcomes in a fast-moving, high-impact environment where your work directly influences product and business growth.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems (fintech experience a plus)
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language with willingness to ramp quickly
• Experience ensuring data consistency and transactional integrity across distributed systems
• Strong with relational databases: schema design, migrations, and query performance tuning
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling
• You've participated in on-call rotations and incident response, including root cause analysis
