📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer - Backend at CodeRabbit, you will contribute to building advanced AI-driven code review systems that enhance developer productivity through human-machine collaboration.
• You will architect and build scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems, integrating AI models into agent-based workflows while ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
• You’ll collaborate with ML engineers, frontend engineers, AI researchers, and product thinkers to develop core infrastructure powering context-enriched code reviews, repo-level planning tools, and dashboard interfaces.
• This role offers ownership of end-to-end projects, mentorship opportunities for junior engineers, and the chance to shape technical direction in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on transforming software development.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 - 5 years of experience building backend systems and distributed infrastructure
• Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js, or a similar modern backend stack; experience with microservices, async job queues, and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and production observability
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and version control
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers, lead by example, and influence technical direction
