- • As a Software Engineer, Backend at CDW, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing REST and GraphQL APIs that power critical services for customers across industries, directly supporting the company’s mission to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
- • Day to day, you will develop and maintain production-grade Python-based APIs, integrate with AWS, Okta, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and New Relic, write and enforce comprehensive test coverage, participate in CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Kubernetes/EKS, collaborate on code reviews and documentation, and engage in occasional on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.
- • You will join Mission’s product development team within CDW, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider known for its collaborative, customer-obsessed culture where coworkers (not just employees) work together to solve complex challenges and drive innovation through trust, transparency, and continuous learning.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native backend systems, gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices, contribute to secure and observable systems, and grow into a trusted technical contributor who helps shape the evolution of Mission’s platform while aligning with CDW’s commitment to AI fluency and inclusive innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Professional experience designing and developing web applications using Python
- • Proficiency with REST and GraphQL API development
- • Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch
- • Experience writing unit and integration tests in Python
- • Experience managing CI/CD deployments using GitLab in Kubernetes/EKS environments
- • Experience developing and deploying software in the AWS ecosystem
- • Strong teamwork and communication skills to convey technical needs to both engineering and non-engineering audiences
- • AWS Cloud Practitioner or PCAP certification to be achieved within one year of hire
