- • As an early-career Software Engineer on Orb's Core Product team, you will play a pivotal role in building and refining the technical foundation of a mission-critical billing platform that transforms complex financial workflows into intuitive, scalable experiences for customers. Your contributions will directly impact product reliability, accuracy, and user satisfaction at scale, with ownership over features from conception to deployment.
- • You will own your changes end-to-end across the full stack—designing, implementing, testing, and deploying features that deliver tangible value to customers before considering work complete. This includes working with both frontend and backend systems to ensure seamless integration and high-quality user experiences.
- • You will leverage AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Graphite as a core part of your daily workflow to accelerate design, development, and iteration, enabling faster experimentation and more efficient problem-solving.
- • You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, sales, and customer success teams to gather insights, validate assumptions, and align technical execution with business goals and customer needs.
- • You will engage directly with customers to understand their pain points in billing, subscription management, and revenue recognition, translating real-world feedback into product improvements and roadmap priorities.
- • You will learn from and contribute to a highly skilled, collaborative engineering team that values ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • New grad or early-career engineer with 0–2 years of professional experience
- • Strong full-stack fundamentals, including proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies
- • Comfortable and enthusiastic about using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Graphite) to enhance development workflows
- • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated user empathy in visual UX, API design, and end-to-end feature delivery
- • Excitement about engaging directly with customers to understand their needs and shape product direction
- • Willingness to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or relocate with company support
