📋 Description

• Build and maintain backend services and full-stack features for a SaaS platform that provides data privacy and compliance infrastructure to global enterprises.
• Develop scalable APIs and systems designed to handle high-volume, real-time data across web, mobile, and connected systems used by Fortune 100 customers.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and security through proactive engineering and optimization of existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team with partial overlap in Eastern Time (ET) zone to ensure smooth coordination and delivery.
• Contribute to technical decisions and architecture as the role evolves, with increasing ownership over core systems.
• Work within a fully remote, international environment while supporting a US-based product and customer base.
• Engage in end-to-end development cycles including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of production systems.
• Maintain and enhance systems built with JavaScript, Python, Golang, and PHP, ensuring code quality and scalability.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, Redis, AWS, Docker, and REST APIs to support high-availability data processing.
• Operate in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where agility and ownership are critical to product success.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning alongside experienced engineers and company leadership.
• Support the company’s mission by ensuring data privacy compliance at scale through robust, secure, and auditable engineering practices.
• Adapt to evolving technical requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems serving enterprise clients globally.
• Work under a contract (1099) model with clear expectations around deliverables, timelines, and performance.
• Receive guidance through an interview process that includes HR screening, technical discussion, final interview, and reference/background check.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on coding in JavaScript, Python, or Golang
• Experience building APIs and scalable backend systems
• Solid understanding of databases and system design fundamentals
• Experience working in fast-paced or startup-like environments
• Ability to work remotely with ET time zone overlap
