- • Build and maintain cross-platform desktop applications using Electron for macOS and Windows environments.
- • Design responsive and scalable user interfaces optimized for real-time collaboration and interaction.
- • Implement desktop-specific features including file system access, native notifications, auto-updates, and deep linking.
- • Integrate AI-powered features such as chat, agents, and AI assistance via backend APIs into the desktop application.
- • Optimize startup time, memory usage, and runtime performance of Electron-based applications.
- • Profile and reduce Electron overhead to improve application efficiency and user experience.
- • Manage large volumes of local state and message history efficiently using local storage solutions.
- • Ensure smooth, real-time updates for messages, typing indicators, and user presence across sessions.
- • Maintain application stability and consistency across macOS and Windows operating systems.
- • Utilize IPC communication to enable seamless interaction between the main and renderer processes in Electron.
- • Work with local storage technologies including SQLite and IndexedDB for persistent data handling.
- • Implement and maintain real-time communication using WebSockets or similar transport mechanisms.
- • Debug complex performance issues and apply profiling tools to identify bottlenecks in desktop application behavior.
- • Collaborate with backend and AI teams to align desktop functionality with system-wide AI workflows.
- • Contribute to architectural decisions that prioritize reliability, performance, and long-running workflow integrity.
- • Participate in collective decision-making processes to ship high-quality software at rapid speed.
- • Exercise independent judgment and execute tasks with structure in a high-talent-density, hands-on team environment.
- • Contribute to a product focused on bringing practical AI benefits to everyday users through proactive assistance in conversations, errands, and workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven software engineering experience.
- • Hands-on experience building production Electron applications.
- • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- • Experience with React or similar UI frameworks.
- • Solid understanding of the desktop application lifecycle.
- • Experience with IPC communication.
