📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer, Developer Experience (Go Lead) at Notion, you will own the initiative to establish Go as a fully supported, production-scale language alongside TypeScript, enabling reliable and scalable backend services for AI and agent-driven products.
• Day to day, you will define and drive the Go platform strategy, build trusted operating models, create golden paths and guardrails, improve tooling and workflows, and collaborate with teams to unblock production use of Go services at scale.
• You will join the Developer Experience team within Notion’s engineering organization, a group focused on improving engineer productivity, reducing toil, and enabling teams to build and ship with confidence through better tooling, frameworks, and platform support.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in platform engineering, large-scale Go systems, and developer productivity, while shaping how Notion builds and operates backend services in the AI era, with opportunities to influence AI-assisted workflows, CI performance, and remote agent environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on software development experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Deep Go expertise with experience operating production Go services at scale
• Proven track record of defining, driving, and owning a platform that other teams adopt (e.g., libraries, golden paths, migration playbooks, guardrails)
• Strong systems judgment to make explicit trade-offs (e.g., speed vs safety, abstraction vs flexibility) and bring teams along
• Curiosity and breadth to tackle high-leverage developer experience problems beyond Go, such as AI-assisted development or CI performance
• A drive to improve developer experience and keep engineers in flow state by reducing toil and paving better golden paths
