Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end development of our flagship mobile and web products, writing clean, performant, and testable code in React Native and React.js that is used by millions of employees nationwide to understand and manage their benefits.
- • Translate Figma designs and user-story requirements into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces that feel native on iOS, Android, and the web, while maintaining strict accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and brand-consistency standards.
- • Architect scalable state-management solutions using Redux Toolkit, React Query, or Zustand to ensure data flows seamlessly between our micro-services and the UI, reducing load times and eliminating duplicate network calls.
- • Drive the continuous-deployment pipeline for both App Store and Google Play releases: configure Fastlane, manage provisioning profiles, run automated smoke tests, and shepherd every build through Apple/Google review to deliver features to users within days—not weeks.
- • Collaborate daily with product managers, UX researchers, QA engineers, and backend developers in agile sprints; refine tickets, estimate effort, demo progress, and incorporate feedback so that every release measurably improves user satisfaction and reduces support tickets.
- • Champion performance budgets and lighthouse scores: profile bundle sizes, implement code-splitting, lazy-load heavy screens, and reduce re-renders so that core flows load in <2 seconds even on 3G connections.
- • Establish and evangelize frontend best practices—component libraries, design tokens, automated visual-regression tests, and Storybook documentation—so that any engineer can ship UI changes with confidence.
- • Monitor real-world usage via Datadog, Sentry, and Firebase Crashlytics; triage and fix production issues proactively, turning customer pain points into backlog epics that prevent future regressions.
- • Mentor junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and brown-bag sessions; foster a culture of learning that keeps our stack modern (e.g., migrating to React Server Components or Expo SDK 50) while maintaining stability.
- • Contribute to roadmap planning by surfacing technical trade-offs, estimating effort for new initiatives, and proposing experiments (A/B tests, feature flags) that validate product hypotheses before full rollout.
- • Uphold bswift’s values—pursue excellence, embrace accountability, deliver superior service—by shipping features that delight users and free HR teams to focus on people, not paperwork.
