  • • Develop and maintain Magnet One, a full-stack digital forensics platform used by investigators globally to acquire, analyze, and share evidence from computers, smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and ship new features with urgency, ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of forensic professionals.
  • • Work across both frontend and backend systems, contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and deployment pipelines to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • • Engage directly with customer feedback and product requirements to translate real-world investigative workflows into technical solutions that enhance usability and effectiveness.
  • • Participate in agile development cycles including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to maintain high team velocity and product quality.
  • • Optimize application performance, security, and data integrity to meet the stringent demands of digital evidence handling in law enforcement and corporate investigations.
  • • Integrate with third-party data sources and forensic tools to expand platform capabilities and ensure seamless interoperability across diverse device types and operating systems.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, testing frameworks, and documentation to support a culture of engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • • Maintain compliance with industry standards for digital evidence handling, ensuring all software components adhere to legal and forensic integrity requirements.
  • • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on innovation and integrity.
  • • Stay current with emerging technologies in digital forensics, cloud infrastructure, and user experience design to inform platform evolution and competitive differentiation.
  • • Participate in on-call rotations to monitor system health, respond to incidents, and ensure high availability of mission-critical forensic tools used by global customers.
  • • Translate complex forensic workflows into intuitive user interfaces that empower non-technical investigators to efficiently extract and interpret digital evidence.
  • • Work closely with product managers and UX designers to refine user journeys, reduce friction in investigative processes, and increase platform adoption across diverse user bases.
  • • Contribute to the design and implementation of secure data handling protocols that protect sensitive evidence and comply with international privacy regulations.
  • • Support global deployment and localization efforts to ensure the platform functions reliably across different regions, languages, and regulatory environments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proficiency in full-stack development with experience in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, .NET)
  • • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable web applications with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and secure coding practices
  • • Experience working in agile environments with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • • Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, and QA teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • • Familiarity with digital forensics, cybersecurity, or law enforcement technology is a strong plus
