• As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Watershed, you will be instrumental in the entire product development lifecycle. This includes hands-on coding, engaging directly with customers to understand their challenges and needs, developing a deep mastery of the complex climate domain, and contributing to strategic decision-making. • Our technical landscape is built around a sophisticated web frontend that serves our diverse customer base, complemented by a robust backend infrastructure handling intricate climate data, advanced climate models, and seamless integration with various financial systems. You will be working extensively with modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, CSS, and Node.js. While prior expertise in our specific stack is not a prerequisite, a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies is highly valued. You will also be involved in developing intuitive tools that empower customers to effectively ingest, interpret, and leverage their business data for sustainability initiatives.
• A significant aspect of this role involves shipping code to production from day one, allowing you to see the immediate impact of your work. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers, Climate Scientists, and Data Scientists, to conceptualize, build, and iterate on software solutions that address critical customer needs in climate data management and reporting.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong preference for experience in Node.js web development or data pipelines.
• Proven track record of building scalable software solutions, ideally starting from user needs and iterating through development.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
• Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and a proactive approach to contributing to the evolution of a growing engineering team.
