Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Join MNTN as a Software Engineer specializing in Golang and become a core contributor to the platform that is redefining how brands measure and optimize connected-TV advertising. You will architect, build, and scale high-throughput services that process billions of ad impressions daily, turning raw data into real-time insights for Fortune 500 marketers.
  • • Own the full development lifecycle for critical backend systems: from white-boarding distributed design patterns to writing idiomatic Go, containerizing with Docker, deploying via Kubernetes, and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana. Your code will directly influence campaign performance, budget allocation, and ultimately the revenue of our customers.
  • • Collaborate daily with cross-functional squads that include data scientists, product managers, and front-end engineers. You will translate complex business rules into elegant microservices, design APIs that power sleek React dashboards, and ensure sub-second latency for queries that scan petabytes of data.
  • • Champion engineering excellence by establishing best practices for testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. You will lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and evangelize clean architecture principles such as SOLID, DRY, and domain-driven design across the organization.
  • • Optimize data pipelines that ingest, transform, and aggregate streaming events from multiple ad exchanges. You will fine-tune Kafka consumers, profile Go routines for memory efficiency, and implement circuit breakers that keep the platform resilient during traffic spikes.
  • • Build and maintain the configuration layer that allows clients to create, schedule, and target campaigns with surgical precision. This includes rule engines for audience segmentation, budget pacing algorithms, and integrations with third-party measurement partners.
  • • Contribute to open-source initiatives and internal libraries that accelerate development velocity. Whether it’s a custom ORM for ClickHouse or a lightweight tracing wrapper around OpenTelemetry, your innovations will be shared across teams and often released to the community.
  • • Participate in blameless post-mortems and on-call rotations that prioritize learning over finger-pointing. You will use observability tools to diagnose anomalies, craft actionable runbooks, and automate fixes so the same incident never happens twice.
  • • Influence the technical roadmap by presenting proof-of-concepts to leadership and quantifying the ROI of new technologies. Recent examples include migrating from monolith to microservices, adopting GraphQL for flexible querying, and experimenting with eBPF for kernel-level performance insights.
  • • Work in a fully remote environment that prizes asynchronous communication, documented decisions, and deep focus time. You will set your own schedule, meet quarterly for off-sites in inspiring locations, and leverage stipends for home-office gear and co-working spaces.
  • • Thrive in a culture where psychological safety, radical candor, and compassionate leadership are not buzzwords but lived values. You will receive transparent equity grants, regular 360-feedback, and career coaching that aligns personal growth with company success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of production experience writing high-performance, concurrent Go services with a deep understanding of channels, goroutines, and the memory model
  • • Proven track record designing and operating distributed systems at scale, including event sourcing, CQRS, and eventual consistency patterns
  • • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger
  • • Nice-to-have: prior exposure to ad-tech ecosystems (RTB, VAST, DSP, SSP) and familiarity with ClickHouse, BigQuery, or other columnar data stores

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours, annual travel stipends, and quarterly team retreats in destinations voted on by employees
  • • Competitive salary plus meaningful equity in a high-growth, profitable company backed by top-tier investors
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental-wellness coverage for you and dependents, plus a $1,000 annual learning budget
  • • 20 days PTO, 12 company holidays, and a one-month paid sabbatical after four years of service
