- • As a Software Engineer II on Klaviyo’s Editors team, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the core editor experiences that power Klaviyo’s product suite, enabling customers to create highly customizable, dynamic content using product feeds, real-time event data, and AI-driven personalization—directly impacting how creators own their destiny through intuitive, performant interfaces.
- • You will design, develop, and maintain reusable frontend components using React, TypeScript, and Redux, while collaborating across the stack with Python/Django backends to implement features like in-canvas editing, AI-powered content generation, and new editor blocks, ensuring seamless, high-performance user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- • You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to translate product vision into technical implementation, owning features from requirements through testing and deployment, with a focus on solving complex scaling challenges using queues, caches, CDNs, and web workers.
- • You will contribute to a team that owns the foundational editor infrastructure used across all Klaviyo products, working in a hybrid Boston-based environment (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) with access to cutting-edge tools like AWS, Terraform, MySQL, RabbitMQ, and Redis, and opportunities to lead multi-quarter cross-functional initiatives.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven ability to deliver and ship production-grade features.
- • Strong hands-on expertise in React, TypeScript, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a track record of building reusable, performant UI components.
- • Proficiency in Python and Django (or equivalent backend frameworks), including experience working with large codebases and multiple layers of the stack.
- • Familiarity with automated testing practices and frameworks such as Cypress, pytest, and integration/end-to-end testing.
- • Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including evolving data models to support product needs.
- • Demonstrated ability to own work end-to-end—from requirements and edge cases to implementation, testing, and deployment—and motivation to solve tough problems collaboratively.
- • Proven experience leading complex, multi-quarter projects involving cross-team collaboration with Product, Design, and Data Science.
- • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques including queues, caches, CDNs, and web workers to address scaling challenges.
- • Collaborative, communicative, and eager to learn and share knowledge in a team-oriented environment.
