- • As a Software Engineer II (Full Stack) on the Messaging Security Products team at Abnormal Security Corporation, you will play a critical role in enhancing core cybersecurity offerings, particularly in Email Security and threat visibility, by building and maintaining products from database to user interface with an 80% back-end and 20% front-end focus.
- • Day to day, you will design and execute software projects from conception to operation, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and GTM teams to implement customer-driven features, and uphold engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and professional development.
- • You will join Abnormal Security’s innovative Messaging Security Products division, working within the Threat Visibility and Exploration Team (TREX) and Adaptive Classifications Team (ACT), contributing to tools like AI Security Mailbox and Detection 360 that empower SOC teams with intuitive threat data search, filtering, and workflow automation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development with Python/Go and React/Redux/TypeScript, gain experience in distributed systems and AI-assisted development, and grow your impact through mentorship and ownership of critical security products that protect enterprises from evolving email threats.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related engineering field
- • 3+ years of industry experience designing and building full-stack software applications
- • Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or Go, with intermediate skills in React, Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- • Experience building features and components from scratch while balancing development with operational tasks
- • Comfort working with distributed teams using asynchronous and written communication
- • Growth mindset with a drive to increase impact and responsibility over time
- • Ability to leverage AI developer tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor in daily workflow
