- • Architect and build the insurance and data infrastructure that powers eligibility, verification, and claims for digital health services.
- • Work directly with new employer, health plan, and channel partners during implementation to collaborate hands-on and get each partner live quickly and reliably.
- • Make foundational technical decisions as part of a small, generalist team building products and systems from scratch (0-to-1 stage).
- • Use AI tools to augment personal productivity and scale impact as an individual contributor.
- • Write clear, comprehensive documentation to enable seamless onboarding and knowledge sharing across the fully-remote team.
- • Build and maintain robust, production-grade systems that deliver consistent value to real users over extended periods.
- • Prioritize customer needs throughout the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with partner and patient requirements.
- • Navigate ambiguous startup environments by identifying technical risks, proposing scalable solutions, and executing with minimal oversight.
- • Engage with complex healthcare data workflows, including insurance validation, claims processing, and interoperability requirements.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on improving health outcomes for individuals with autoimmune conditions.
- • Maintain a beginner’s mindset, actively asking questions, learning new approaches, and staying open to feedback and iteration.
- • Demonstrate unrelenting persistence in solving challenging technical problems and driving projects to completion despite obstacles.
- • Leverage deep empathy for the autoimmune patient experience to inform product decisions and system design, even without personal experience.

- • Ensure all systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and compliance within the healthcare data environment.
- • Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and observability in production systems serving real patients and partners.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-7+ years of experience as a software engineer
- • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building systems from scratch (0-to-1)
- • Experience making foundational technical decisions in early-stage environments
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of creating clear documentation
- • Current work authorization in the United States
- • Experience launching and maintaining production systems with real users over extended periods
