📋 Description

• Software Engineer in Test III (Automation Testing, Virtualization) role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for complex distributed systems using JavaScript or Python.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include building and executing automated test suites, validating storage and virtualization platforms, collaborating with development and DevOps teams, identifying test coverage gaps, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and debugging issues across application, storage, and infrastructure layers.
• Part of Rocket Companies, Inc.'s QA engineering team within the Engineering job family group, specifically in Software & Quality Assurance Engineering, working as an individual contributor at P3 (Career) level.
• Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with AI/ML-assisted testing tools, contribute to intelligent test automation workflows, mentor junior engineers, and drive quality best practices in a company that values innovation and employee growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET role
• Strong hands-on experience with Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMs, hypervisors, containerization)
• Solid understanding of Storage Domain concepts: SAN, NAS, RAID, file systems, data replication, backup & recovery
• Proficiency in Javascript or Python for test automation
• Experience working with modern automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, PyTest, Selenium, REST API testing tools)
• Practical understanding of AI/ML-assisted testing tools and workflows for test case generation, optimization, flaky test detection, and self-healing automation
