- • As a Software Engineer – Integrations on the Enterprise Services API Support team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, you will build and support enterprise APIs that connect critical applications across the organization, directly impacting the reliability, scalability, and stability of mission-critical healthcare systems.
- • Day to day, you will partner with application teams to design and deliver integration solutions, support production environments through incident response, release management, and deployments, and drive continuous improvement in API performance, governance, and platform health.
- • You will join a dedicated Enterprise Services team focused on maintaining and enhancing BCBST’s integration platform, working collaboratively to ensure seamless interoperability between internal and external systems in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise API management, gain hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise and IBM API Connect, and grow your ability to lead integration efforts while contributing to the stability and scalability of core healthcare technology infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience (4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment)
- • 3 years of systems and programming experience
- • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards
- • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST
- • Proven technical background with experience designing and documenting integration solutions, ensuring interoperability, security, and performance
- • Experienced in API design, development, and management
